Q?What is a Criterium?
A.

The criterium – or “crit” – is one of the most exciting formats in bicycle racing. Run on a short course, it’s a quick, fast-action race that fans can watch from start to finish. Now in its third successful year, the High Point Cycling Classic is a fun, exciting competition right to the heart of downtown High Point. Plus, for the third year in a row, we will also host one of our state’s premier cycling events, the North Carolina Crit Championships.

Q?Who can race in the Criterium?

Q?Will there be food for purchase?

Yes. Food vendors will have delicious summer food for purchase.

Q?Will there be other entertainment?
A.

There will be plenty of entertainment for the entire family. Music will start 5:30 Friday until about 11:00 pm. Saturday there will be music all day with special events for kids. Vendors will be available as well.

Q?Is this a family friendly event?
A.

Yes. We encourage you to bring entire family. There will be a KIDS ZONE specifically for entertaining children. Music for the adults. And of course, the best and most exciting cycling in North Carolina.

Q?Will alcohol be sold at the event?
A.

Yes. Alcohol will be available for purchase for those 21 and older with a valid I.D.
